6/ Learn how to compromise
In a truly beautiful long relationship, it’s way more important to be happy than to be right. Long-lasting couples know that all too well! If you want your relatioship to last, both learn how to find the middle ground, in such a way that the two of you are satisfied with the decisions you make. Or at least make it one “win” each, in turn.

When you make an important decision for your couple, take the time to discuss the pros and cons, and what you could do to reach a solution that would suit you both. And concerning the smaller decisions, those with a lesser impact : deal with them each in turn! That way, if your sweetheart picked the movie you were going to watch, you’re allowed to choose in which restaurant you’ll go afterwards etc… Whatever you do, be sure that the compromising dosn’t always come from the same partner.
